I begged my husband for years to get a hot tub. So when he finally said yes I was thrilled. He did the research and said if he was spending that much money he wanted the best. Why buy a tub for less that he would just have to replace in a few years and buy a new one. After several embarrassing “wet tests” we went with the best and purchased our Grandee. The docs suggested muscle relaxers for my back issues but I wanted to try yoga and a new hot tub! Needless to say it was a success. The other benefit was not so obvious and that was the uninterrupted bonding time we share. My husband and I use this time after work and parenting to talk about our day and reconnect. It is such a routine that when we get our towels from the basket our little 5lb morkie knows its hot tub time! We put our towels on the filter cover and that is her spot to relax. At the end of the day I can say it was money well spent for the obvious reasons and the priceless reasons.

Special Family Memories
After wanting a hot tub for many years, we finally took the plunge last year. With our busy lifestyles and kids’ many activities, we look forward to the down time when we can relax and enjoy our Grandee as a family. My most favorite memory to date has to be Christmas Eve 2011. After enjoying a crazy day filled with family, food, and presents - we finished the evening off as a family with a relaxing soak in our tub. With mood lighting set to green and red - it was a very festive and relaxing way to end a perfect day. We’ve definately started a new tradition - from now on….every Christmas Eve will end in the hot tub!

New years soak
A couple years ago, on New Years eve, we had a couple families over for a hot tub party. So we got the suits on and took a dip. The kids as well as adults making a total of 11 people. The weather outside was freesing rain so we all got out and ran around in the freezing rain and got back in the tub. At Midnight, there were twenty two feet saluting in the middle of the tub. It was a memorial moment for all of us, and the kids still talks about it.

I have a coworker that bought a Grandee back in 1995. They used it daily for a while, then slowly stopped using it as kids grew up and moved out. Suddenly, the hot tub’s current located was slated for a new outdoor kitchen. After attempting to give the tub away online, he was threatening to cut it up with a chainsaw. Hold the phone! I immediately transported this beauty to my home in Tacoma, WA where it sits today, and gets used on a nightly basis. Nothing like it! And that is why, I am a hot tubber!

Change of Plans
We were all set and ready to have our new Grande spa setup except the rains of Hurricane Irene changed our plans. Even with 15 guys available to move the new spa around the back of the house, the chance of losing the spa down the hill was a real concern. So, we called in a crane service and put the job in their hands. I was relieved once the spa started to come down from outer space and situated right where I wanted it.

Why Didn’t We Do This Sooner?
We had been thinking about getting a hot tub for years. After recently visiting my wife’s family we had the opportunity to utilize a Hot Spring spa. After sitting in it while the outside temperature was 10 degrees we thought what are we waiting for? The following weekend we worked with Brett Richardson at our local Hot Spring dealer, Lifestyles, and purchased a Grandee spa. We have had the spa for 4 days and have been in it every day! We continually kick ourselves for not having done this sooner!
Go get a Hot Spring Hot Tub! They are the leaders in the industry, bar none!
We are definitely Hot Spring Hot Tubber’s!
